Handling:

Handle under safe light conditions.

Screen preparation:

Before applying the emulsion, it is important that the screen is clean. To achieve this, use our degreasing agent 12.320.

Application procedure:

Use a clean application spout that has a smooth edge, free of scratches or burrs. The application environment should be in a clean, well-lit and safe area with a humidity level of 65%.

Apply one or two layers of emulsion to the print side.

Flip the screen over and apply one or two layers to the flare side.

Additional layers may be used to achieve a user-specified result.

Drying:

Dry the screen horizontally with the print facing downwards in a clean, dry room. Follow the guidelines below to ensure complete drying:

30°C to 40°C

30% to 50% relative humidity

Good air circulation

Exposure:

For best results, use an exposure calculator to determine the exact exposure time. Correct exposure depends on many factors, such as clean film positives, screen colour, emulsion type, emulsion thickness and type of exposure device.

Approximate exposure times:

Screen colour Seconds

34 White 35-55

43 White 30-45

77 Yellow 30-45

120 Yellow 25-35

140 Yellow 20-30

Metal halide lamp 8K 5K

Note: The above times are based on the use of a 2/2 coated screen.

Cleaning:

Gently spray both sides of the screen with water. Wait a moment for the emulsion to soften. Place the print side under the water spray until the image is fully visible. Rinse both sides thoroughly and dry.

Recovery:

Removing the emulsion is straightforward. This can be done with a concentrated remover or powder.

12.370 removal powder.

12.380 concentrated remover.

Storage:

Store the emulsion in a cool, dry place. Unused emulsion has a shelf life of one year when stored properly. Coated screens will retain quality for up to 30 days if stored properly.

15°C to 25°C

40% to 60% humidity.
