POLYPLUS is a single-component, ready-to-use UV ink with a glossy finish, designed for printing on torch-activated surfaces with a surface tension of more than 42 dyn/cm.
It is ideal for use on rigid and semi-rigid containers made of polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), as well as PVC, PETG and PETP.
Excellent adhesion - multilayer printing possible without reactivation of the substrate
High chemical resistance - the ink is resistant to acids, alkalis and solvents
Ready-to-use - no additional preparation required
Water resistance - durability can be increased by adding 3-5 % of hardener ST305
Flexible coverage - the degree of coverage depends on the colour and thickness of the overprint, adjustable with the addition of white pigment
Highest reactivity among Dubuit UV inks
Ink designed for printing on activated plastics:
PP, PE, PVC, PETG and PETP.
Ideal for containers, bottles and plastic parts with medium to high surface tension.
Allows multilayer printing without the need to re-activate the surface (continuous printing without interruptions longer than 24 hours is recommended).
Recommended mesh: 140/34 - 180/31
Rocket: Shore A hardness 65-75°.
Cleaning: Solvent H, Eco N or 93801
Drying process: energy 150-250 mJ/cm² (UV tunnel, 120 W/cm, belt speed 10-20 m/min)
Dilution: ST178 at 1-5% (optional)
Shelf life: up to 12 months from date of manufacture in original sealed packaging
Storage temperature: 10-30°C, in a dry and well-ventilated place
POLYPLUS paint is ready to use.
If viscosity needs to be adjusted, 1-5% ST178 thinner can be added.
For increased water resistance or adhesion to difficult substrates, the addition of 3-5% hardener ST305 is recommended.
Once the hardener has been used, the paint retains its full properties for 4-8 hours (depending on the colour).
The paint cures in a UV tunnel at an energy of 150-250 mJ/cm².
Recommended light source: 120 W/cm metal halide lamp.
Complies with EN-71/3 (Toy Safety) standards.
Complies with US environmental regulations CONEG
Does not contain heavy metals or N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidine (NVP)
Safe for the user and the environment
