PROPYLUX is a high-quality screen printing ink specially developed for printing on corrugated and flat polypropylene.
It provides good adhesion, high print quality and a glossy finish. Ideal for printing on substrates such as Akilux® or Priplak®, used in advertising and signage.
It is not recommended for thin packaging films.

General characteristics:

  • Glossy finish

  • Good adhesion to polypropylene substrates

  • Good alcohol resistance

  • Fairly good resistance to light

  • Average density: 1.10 g/cm³

  • Viscosity: 8 ± 1 Pa-s

  • Covering power: good

  • Spreading rate: approx. 50 m²/kg at 120-34 mesh

  • Weather resistance: poor (additional varnish protection recommended)

Application:

PROPYLUX ink is intended for printing on:

  • polypropylene panels (corrugated and flat),

  • Akilux®, Priplak® and similar substrates,

  • dry-erase boards (with lacquered surface).

It can also be used on untreated substrates using a bonding primer.
Flame or corona treatment is recommended for better adhesion.

Drying:

  • Natural: approx. 15 minutes at 20°C

  • Air jet: approx. 2 minutes at 60°C

Thinning and additives:

  • Thinner: Thin 4909*

  • Retarder: Propygel or 4900

  • For increased adhesion: Adhesion primer 3302070

  • For increased grease and sweat resistance: Propylux lacquer 3302075

Cleaning:

  • Manual: 2881, 2899, NS-81, NS-99

  • Automatic: 2899

Storage:

The expiry date of PROPYLUX paint can be found on the product label.
Store in original, tightly closed packaging in a dry and cool place.
