General characteristics:

Film positive consisting of five columns containing: target resolution, set of halftones and lines of text.

The four columns are protected by a grey neutral filter of varying density, allowing five different exposures to be taken simultaneously

Facilitates quick and accurate determination of the emulsion exposure time for each system

Application:
The exposure calculator is used for:

determining the optimum exposure time for photosensitive emulsions,

controlling the quality of the exposure process,

testing different lamp settings and UV systems.
Method of use:

Determine the initial exposure time and then double it (e.g. planned 10 minutes → make test 20 minutes).

Place the exposure calculator on the matrix and perform the exposure in the standard way.

Rinse and dry the screen thoroughly.

Evaluate the result to determine the correct exposure time:

If the test showed that the best result was 0.7 with an exposure of 50 units, this means that the correct exposure time = 0.7 × 50 = 35 units.
